  • WVBA members volunteer in helping with the 2nd Annual Archery in Schools state tournament held at Braxton County High School.  WVBA also provides the awards for the participants.

  • WVBA hosts 6th Annual WV State High Schools / Middle School 3D Archery Tournament at Huntington Archery Club.

  • WVBA organizes membership letter writing campaign to protest National Park Service management plan in the New River Gorge National River area to consider elimination of hunting within five years.  Several officers, regional reps and members attend a public meeting held in Fayetteville to voice the views of our membership in protesting the “no hunting” alternative in the management plan.

  • WVBA members instruct over 2,000 youth in shooting archery through various special youth events throughout 2007.

  • WVBA member, Randy Benear, presented with the 2007 WV Sportsman Award from the DNR.

  • WVBA makes a $500 donation toward Hunters Helping the Hungry Program at a special dinner hosted by Governor Manchin to bring awareness to this program.

  • Larry Lawson resigns as DNR/Legislative Advisor after 27 years of faithful service.
