  • First state chapter of the Christian Bowhunters of America formed – Almost Heaven Archers; becomes new affiliated club with the WVBA.

  • Randy Epling instructs Level 1 NASP training class at Ripley HS for WVBA BOD (Tom Kruk, Jamie Withrow, John Drangmeister, Ed McMinn)

  • DNR Hosts First Annual Archery in Schools State Tournament at Capital High School on May 20, 2006.  WVBA provides volunteers to help with the event and provides awards to the participants and top 3 finishers in each age class

  • WVBA hosts 5th Annual WV State High Schools Archery Tournament at Huntington Archery Club on April 23, 2006.

  • Gander Mountain opens retail store in Charleston, WV.

  • WVBA Donates $1,000 toward Hunters Helping Hungry and $500 to DNR for the black bear study.
