Division of Natural Resources/Legislative Agenda

WVBA tries unsuccessfully at all DNR Commission meetings to convince DNR to allow bowhunting during muzzleloader season.  The DNR answer was always, “No, we want to give them a day of their own.”  This seemed strange, in that bear dog season was already going on at the same time.  Legislation was being planned that would expand the muzzleloader season from one to three days in 1988.  It was not felt that Bowhunters should have fewer days to hunt; in order that the muzzleloaders could have more.
