The West Virginia Bowhunters Association Board of Directors and Officers have had several meetings. The subject of the annual awards banquet has been discussed at each. With the uncertainties of the COVID pandemic, we have voted to cancel the annual awards banquet for 2021. Alternate dates were discussed, but conflicts with the venue, speaker, essential personnel attendance and COVID still present, it could not be resolved.
This was a difficult decision for us, as this is our main fellowship event and celebration of achievements of our members.
However, all is not lost, the Board of Directors and Officers have voted to expand the Fall Rendezvous set for September 10th to 12th weekend. This event will be outdoors at the Parchment Valley Conference Center near Ripley WV.
We will be hosting the WVBA Big Bucks Classic 3-D archery competition with a $5000 payout at the Fall Rendezvous on Saturday. More to follow on this unprecedented competition. Additionally, elements of the banquet weekend will be present at the Fall Rendezvous. Local speakers, silent auctions, some awards and a WV Big Buck display to mention a few.
We are packing 2021 with numerous shooting events. To shoot in the WVBA Big Bucks Classic archery competition you must have two qualifying 500 certificates from shoots in 2021. We will be posting much more on the Fall Rendezvous and Classic soon. For news and events go to www.westvirginiabowhunters.org
We appreciate the understanding and support of our members and vendors as we move toward a better 2021!
Table assignments will be made to the best of our ability and will not be changed. Any last minute reservations will be seated as seats are available. Thank you for your understanding.
